Nylon—Temperature range is –40° to 185° F. Exposure to moisture may cause nylon to expand.
Glass-Filled Nylon—Reinforced with fiberglass, these screws have more than twice the strength of nylon. They are not rated for temperature. Exposure to moisture may cause nylon to expand.
Fiberglass—Screws are stronger than nylon screws. Flanged screws distribute holding pressure to reduce stress where the screw meets the surface of the material you’re fastening. Head height includes flange thickness.
Ceramic—Temperature range is up to 2,000°C Impervious to chemical attack, oxidation and UV light degradation.
